I'm aware that Christine should be the respondent to your most recent post, -- please forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn.

As a recent graduate of the Foundations in Community Development school (of which she is the head), I must say I was a bit surprized by your statement about "it presuposes that complete and holistic renewal and reformation .......before Jesus returns." At no time was this ever stated or inferred. While I agree with all else that was stated regarding God's position above all of His creation etc., and the holistic inclusion, I don't recall anyone implying that man would be returned to his "pre-fall" condition.

I am aware that there are those that do teach such doctrines, but I don't think you'll find it in any FCD curriculum.

A main goal in Christian development is to become transformational agents, ambassadors of the Kingdom, representing and presenting Kingdom principals fleshed out for all to see. The Holy Spirit, through the agency of men (or whatever else He chooses) drawing men toward God's intentions for all that you've listed above. (Goven't, law, mankind, family, economics, etc.

One of the difficulties faced by my culture and country (the U.S.A.) is that for far too long our churches have presented a very narrow view of the Kingdom -- "Spiritual Vs. secular", completely separating life into nice little compartments. This dichotomy has allowed the church to abandon it's position in every other area of life apart from the programs of the church itself. (Politics, education, science, media, etc.) I suppose it goes without saying that every area abandonded by the church, is by default, to remain or to become territory of the enemy.

Because He Lives!
