The Vision

Teams of professionally trained volunteers reaching the most desperate, needy and receptive people in the world.

The vision explained.

Our vision is to have stand-by teams ready to be deployed and perform life saving care within the first stages of a disaster. We operate like a reservist army having teams on stand-by, deployed to do relief work at short duration's of between 1 to 2 weeks. There are many that serve as relief workers but almost all work in the "food and shelter" arena. Our purpose is to fill the gap between the onset of the disaster and the arrival of relief workers providing food and shelter services.

During this "gap" thousands are often in need of assistance getting out of dangerous areas and require medical attention. Disaster child care according to the United Nations "is the greatest unmet need in disasters today". Large numbers of children need a safe and positive environment to "shelter" in while parents and family make arrangements for housing and other necessities. We will provide professionally trained disaster child care workers who will set up day care centers and temporary shelter for orphaned children. These centers will provide loving attention, creative activities and triage for emotionally traumatized children.

Did you know that there are on the average 358 catastrophic events a year, often in the poorest nations on earth? Many involve unreached people groups in the 1040 window.
